Silt is located in the heart of Colorado’s Western Slope about 20 miles west of Glenwood Springs, 150 miles west of Denver, and 65 miles east of Grand Junction. The Colorado River flows directly through town with the Grand Hogback Mountains & Flat Tops Wilderness area to the north and Mamm Peaks to the south. Silt is conveniently located within close proximity to shopping, healthcare, airports, and some of the best outdoor recreation in Colorado.

Silt offers residents with a variety of shops, restaurants, and a market that provide all the essential household needs.  Ten minutes west of town is Rifle where there’s a Walmart, City Market (Kroger Foods) and many other shops and restaurants. Glenwood Springs is about 15-20 minutes east of Silt and provides additional shopping/restaurant options including a Target, Marshalls, Ulta, Office Depot, and many other smaller shops at boutiques. Grand Junction is located 63 miles west of Silt and has more big-name retail stores you can find in any large city.


Being located on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains, Silt is located in the center of the bulls eye for the best outdoor recreation in the country.  Within an hour drive, you can be rafting, skiing/snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and hunting in some of the most iconic locations the USA has to offer.
